Winter and Spring Holiday Partner Plays: 5 Fun Scripts with a Worksheet

These five partner plays are intended to be used as fluency-building activities that 2nd and 3rd grade students can read with a partner. Topics include Saint Patrick's Day, the 100th Day of School, Read Across America Day, Teacher Appreciation Day, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This packet also includes a follow-up comprehension worksheet. Students can answer the questions after they finish reading each script.

These scripts require minimal teacher support, thereby allowing teachers to work with other small groups. For teachers who implement reading centers, these plays are perfect. These scripts are also ideal for parents who are looking for fun at-home reading activities that parents and children can read together. If you have a child who is reluctant to read at home, I encourage you to give these scripts a try!
