*Writing Resources Bundle*

These supplemental Resources are the perfect addition to your writing units. Use them to organize, self assess, and use higher level thinking skills to complete writing tasks!

~ These resources are supplemental. They can be used as part of writing units you are teaching throughout the year.

Each Set includes:

A Parent Letter- General enough so that you can use them to fit your instructional needs. These are great to send home at the beginning of your unit. Parent letters include tips for ways for parents to help their children at home as well.

Graphic Organizers- General enough to be used several different ways. I created non-fiction research notes for non-fiction unit in place of an organizer.

Writing prompts- I send these home as homework practice once a week and give them two days to complete. However, they can be used any way, at any time!

"Quick Write" card sheets- These can be cut and pasted into writing notebooks, or handed out individually as a way to get students writing before you start a lesson!

Self-Assessment Checklist- Perfect for students to keep in writing folders and keep track of what they still need to work on as they write and revise.

*Writing Strategies Bundle*

This Writing Strategy bundle includes resources for four different writing strategies; using your five senses, color coding, using graphic organizers, and quick writing with task cards. These products can be used at all stages of the writing process and guide students along the way.

This bundle Includes:

Quick Writing Strategy: 5 posters describing how to allow students to "quick write" using task cards as well as 8 task cards per strategy.

Color Coding: 5 posters describing how to use color coding to help students with their writing. It also includes five activities to practice the color coding strategy along with their answer keys.

Five Senses: 5 posters, one for each sense. It also includes 2 graphic organizers, 2 activities, and 2 poetry templates to help students practice using their five senses to enhance their writing.

Organizing Unit- 5 posters to show how to organize student writing in five different ways: By idea, event/action, problem/solution, sequence and detail.

All units include tip sheets to help with ideas on how to implement the strategies. The posters are great to use as "writing strategy wall." This helps support ALL learners through the writing process. and allows them a visual if they are stuck or having "writer's block."
