TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught primary (K-3) in British Columbia, Canada for 10 years. Most of my teaching years were spent teaching grades one and two. I love teaching children and creating curriculum and resources for teachers. I am the creator and writer at Proud to be Primary, an educational website, and blog filled with engaging strategies and ideas for primary teachers. Visit me at www.proudtobeprimary.com for a ton of helpful tips, lessons ideas, and resources to strengthen your instruction. Creating and providing educators with resources they need to better teach their students excites me and motivates me. I work hard to create resources that are comprehensive and differentiated. Teachers can be confident that when they purchase and use a resource from me that they will have everything they need to implement in their classroom.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to be super organized and have things planned and try to be ready to go at all times, while being flexible at the same time. I like to have fun daily and laugh a lot with the kids! Even when things get stressful, I have to remember that they are just kids and they love school as much as I do. Each year kids come to me with all different learning abilities and backgrounds, so I really have to take things one day at a time. I have never had two classes alike, which means being flexible is very important to me. I definitely live to teach, whether it be at home with my children, at school with my students or through my own personal growth. I have Tpt to thank for that!
