TEACHING EXPERIENCE

In 2002, Nicole Sheldon and Danielle Singleton, worked together in a classroom (K-3) with children diagnosed with Autism and other disabilities. Danielle, the teacher in the classroom and Nicole, one of the many paraprofessionals began to create materials needed in the classroom. They then decided to make the materials they used successfully in their classroom available for other teachers and parents of children with Autism and other learning abilities.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Discrete Trial Training (DTT) is a repetitive teaching approach often paired with visuals for teaching children with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities. The materials available through the Special Educator's Store can be used for all students, especially those that learn best through a visual and kinesthetic modality.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Nicole and Danielle have been sharing their materials with other teachers for several years, first as an established company (LLC) where we traveled to conferences promoting our products and now through TPT. *Disclaimer: Train-N-Station was first established as an LLC but was dissolved several years ago. Some of our material may have the markings of LLC, however we are no longer operating as such.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Danielle began working as a Special Education teacher in 1992 where she taught elementary special education. She earned her Administrative degree in 2015. In 2016, Danielle moved on to become Supervisor of Special Education KEY Program specifically overseeing students on the Autism Spectrum, Pre K-21.
