October Power Writing Prompts on SmartNotebook
This is a Smart Notebook File.
Power writing is a strategy that can build writing fluency. The goal is to write as many words (in sentences) about a given topic in a short amount of time.

How to Write a Cinquain
This Smartboard activity teaches students how to write a cinquain, including practicing describing words (adjectives) and doing words (verbs). Students will see examples of completed cinquains, will practice writing a cinquain with the whole class, and will write a cinquain with their table group (or other cooperative group) on one of the topics listed (or an unlisted topic of choice, if applicable).
