Students need some kind of basketball situation to collect data. Use a mini hoop, the school gym, or even paper and a garbage can. Have each student shoot 15x. As a class, record the data. Students will use the data to create a tally chart (frequency table), a line plot, calculate the measures of central tendency, measures of spread, make a histogram, and make a box plot.
