Fraction Project - Get Cookin'
This is a math project that has students double a recipe that involves fractions. Students can either use repeated addition or multiplication to double their recipe.
Students create a mini-poster to display their finished product. This project can be extended for those needing enrichment by having students triple or even quadruple the recipe.
Halving and Doubling Fractions Activity (Multiplication & Division)
Students will halve and double a chocolate chip recipe. I used this as an extra credit activity, but this would be great to use for a substitute or homework practice as well.

Donut Mini-Muffin Fraction Activity
Help your students convert fractions using multiplication in a
practical way. Students will take a recipe, half it, then quarter it.
Can they do it correctly to make delicious mini-muffin donuts?
They will be the judge of that when they share muffins with their
classmates after they are made.
