January Write the Room Literacy Centers:

  • Sweater Sounds: Students will search for the cards and color the matching letter or beginning sound on their recording sheet. Skills: letter ID, beginning sounds

  • Snow Globe Sounds: Students will search for the cards and identify the sound or word. Skills: beginning sounds, CVC words

  • Snowman Sounds: Students will search for the cards and color the matching beginning sound. Skills: Beginning sounds

  • Snowflake Sounds: Students will search for the cards and identify the matching sound or word. Skills: beginning sounds, ending sounds, vowel sounds, CVC words

  • True or False: Students will search for the cards. If the picture and sound are a match, they will color a thumbs up. If they are not a match, they will color a thumbs down. Skills: beginning sounds, same sounds

  • Read the Room Sentences: Students will search for the cards and read the words or sentences. They will color the picture that matches the sentence. Skills: CVC words, CVC word sentences

  • Vocabulary: Students will search for the fall vocabulary cards. They will trace or write the word on their recording sheet. Skills: Vocabulary
