I have been teaching since January of 2007. Throughout these years, I have taught 6th grade math, 7th grade math, pre-algebra, 7th grade English, and 8th grade oral communications. I've been in the middle school for my entire career, but am qualified for any subject are K through 6th grade, English 7th - 12th grades, math 7th - 12th grades, and science 7th - 8th grades. Since 2019, I've taught 6th - 12th grade math at the alternative school for my district.
I have many different teaching styles. I'm a very visual person, so I like guided notes and flipcharts or powerpoints. I also love using games whether online or in print to reinforce objectives taught.
I had the honor or presenting at MAMLE, the Mississippi Association of Middle Level Educators a year ago on technology in the classroom. My presentation focused on teachers creating their own websites to display their content for students and other teachers.
I began my college education at Pearl River Community College in Poplarvill, MS. I then attained my bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.
