TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have worked in France and Spain as a short-term English as a Second Language Teacher. After, I worked for three years as an English Language Arts and English as a Second Language teacher in a New York City public school. Currently, I teach high school American literature and middle school English as a Second Language in Peru.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is student-centered. Through differentiated instruction, every student is able to succeed. In learning the English language, it is important for lessons to incorporate all domains of language learning; speaking, reading, writing, and listening. I believe there is a book for every student to fall in love with! Incorporating culturally responsive techniques and technology are two vital elements in my classroom.
