TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm currently a high school English teacher with a Bachelor's degree in both Secondary Education and English. I also have a teaching certification in Teaching Students with Disabilities.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love a nice bell hooks teaching style where students feel that they can really take control of the classroom in a mature and coherent way. Physically sitting on the same level as students and not just lecturing all day is something that I love!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Nominated for teacher of the year during my first year as a full-time teacher (tenure-track only for full voting process) Teacher of the month for September 2021 Nominated for teacher of the year (2023)

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

TPT has been so helpful in my teaching career, as I am constantly looking for new ways to improve how I teach my students and what the students get out of our daily lessons. Because I've gotten so much from this wonderful site, I am happy to give back in the best way that I can! :)
