I have had the opportunity to teach Special Education for 8 years, General Education for 1 year, served as a Special Education Instructional Coach for 3 years, the Special Education Professional Learning Coordinator for 1 year, a Special Education Assistant Director for 1 year, and am currently a State Trainer and Coach.
I prefer a highly structured, organized environment and encourage collaboration, self-advocacy, and independence.
In 2019 I published a book called, "Create a Life You Love." It has helpful habits and routines to help anyone dealing with stress and anxiety. It would be helpful to any educator and is available on Amazon at https://amzn.to/2WDcqk6. There are also free resources that go with each chapter on my website, https://createalifeyoulovecoaching.com/.
I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Wyoming in Elementary Education and Special Education as part of a dual major program. I earned my MAEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Baker University and went on to pursue my Building Leadership endorsement through Fort Hay's University.
When I am not teaching, learning, and creating I enjoy many hobbies such as Latin and Ballroom Dancing, karaoke, reading, writing, painting and snuggling with my cat Ginger. Yes, she is named after Ginger Rogers because I am a also a sucker for musicals, old black and white films, and Bollywood movies.
