Creative Media Academy

I started teaching overseas in 2017. I have a Bachelor's in Digital Cinematography and am working on my Master's in Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology. While most of my teaching wasAs a dedicated educator with a Bachelor's in Digital Cinematography, I have spent the past 7 years passionately teaching Video Production across both high school and college levels. My journey in the world of visual art and graphic design has not only been enriching but also transformative. My role as a CTE teacher has allowed me to integrate interactive lessons into the curriculum, focusing on the intricate balance between art technology and creative design. My expertise lies in digital art, photography, and animation, skills that I've honed through years of practice and teaching. I've developed a comprehensive understanding of multimedia education, leveraging my background in film making to enrich my classroom resources and provide a unique learning experience that combines the practical aspects of video editing with the theoretical elements of the art curriculum.overseas and with college students, My passion has always been to be a teacher that influences student's learning and development. I've learned a lot along that way, and it's time to spread the wealth to teachers also looking to do the same. I am now teaching at the secondary level in the US as a Title I CTE teacher. I am now a Video Production and Graphic Design teacher with entry-level and advanced classes.

In my teaching philosophy, I embrace a laid-back yet focused approach, fostering an environment where students are encouraged to explore and learn at their own pace. I firmly believe in the power of experiential learning, where students are not just passive recipients of knowledge, but active participants in their educational journey. This means sometimes letting them navigate through challenges and even fail occasionally, as these experiences are crucial for deep learning and personal growth. In my video production and graphic design classes, I emphasize hands-on learning and creative freedom, allowing students to experiment with various visual art techniques and digital cinematography concepts. By doing so, I aim to cultivate resilience, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of multimedia education. My goal is to guide my students towards not just academic success, but also towards becoming well-rounded individuals capable of thoughtful artistic expression and innovation in their future endeavors.
