• Provide dynamic instruction and intensive academic supports for newcomer English language learners in grades 9-12 • Collect, organize, and analyze student data school-wide and for instructional purposes • Participate on the School Leadership Team and coordinated ESL department initiatives, such as International Night and administration of state tests • Conduct professional development for student teachers at the State University of New York at Buffalo and the State University of New York at Fredonia • Participate in Professional Learning Opportunities such as the ESL Curriculum Committee and NYSESLAT Writing Rangefinding Committee • Co-teach, coach, and collaborate with teachers in Algebra, ELA, Global Studies and Living Environment using the SIOP Model as a framework
