NYC Teacher for 8+ years! I have been the General Education teacher as well as the Special Education teacher in 1st through fifth grade. Guided Reading is my favorite! I love creating curriculum and collaborating with teachers and staff to enhance instructional practices and student experience. Most recently I have been a SETSS teacher working with IEP students, intervention groups and at-risk students in grades K-5. Since becoming a mother, I have moved towards tutoring students outside of the classroom as well as creating and sharing products here.

I have been fortunate to always work in a co-teaching model classroom. I believe two is always better than one! Learning from others and working together to meet the needs of all students is the key to success. I love working in small groups, learning centers, 1:1 and having student's needs drive the instructional model and practice. Students are always changing so the way we teach needs to be consistently changing.

My undergraduate degree is from Rollins College where I studied Elementary Education (K-6) with a concentration in Literacy Instruction. I also completed a minor in Spanish Language and Cultural Studies. Masters degree in Special Education with a concentration in learning and behavioral disabilities.
