I have taught 6th-8th grade Literature, English Language Arts, and Graphic Design classes. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked in the technology industry as a Technical Writer for several years.
I try to create a calm and collaborative classroom environment where students feel safe to learn, make mistakes, and grow. I believe that each student has unique strengths, and I try to create opportunities for every learner to experience success.
One of my favorite teaching moments so far is a student telling me that they usually don't like ELA, but it was their favorite class this year!
