Hey There! My name is Mayra I am a first-grade teacher and a former Autism teacher. I have taught for 12 years and I am passionate about education. I am currently in an LOA from my district to serve students internationally, in El Salvador through the GIVE Foundation.
I am an advocate of student accountability and this can be established through clear expectations, boundaries, and building a classroom community. When this is established behaviors are minimal and students began to flourish socially, emotionally, and academically. I believe that building a classroom community through picture books is a powerful tool. There are so many topics and themes that you can explore with your students to create expectations, boundaries, procedures, and life skills in your lesson deliveries. So what can you find here? -Picture Book lessons & activities -Building Classroom Community through picture books -Supplemental Resources to enhance what you are already doing in the classroom -Classroom Management Resources -Spanish Resources
