I started in a K/1 combo class in 1985, and although I loved my own children when they were 5, I don't like other people's 5 year olds. :-) On the other hand, I ADORE 10 year olds. 2014-2015 will be my 30th year of teaching 5th grade (with a few 4/5 and 5/6 combos thrown in there). I may move up to high school history some day soon, but for now, I'll keep loving on my preteens!
