TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have thirteen years in a Montessori School, with nine years in an Elementary II classroom. My experience includes four years as an assistant and five years as a co-head teacher. For nine years I have served as head basketball coach, three years as a track and field coach, and two years as a volleyball coach. I have been the athletic director as well as the PE instructor for the whole elementary of my school for the past three years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe wholeheartedly in the integration of co-curriculars with the classroom curriculum. Physical education is important on its own, but becomes so much more rich when concepts from the classroom can be integrated into the games and skills practiced in PE. This method appeals to the different learning styles of the students, and provides a foundation for the Montessori teacher that must teach their own co-curricular classes.
