Students simply color in the bar graph to the appropriate level according to their STAR Renaissance Assessment. The visual gives students a chance to see how their independent reading has impacted their growth or perhaps holds them accountable for displaying what a lack of reading has caused.

It is a visual with some guiding questions to help them create a summary on anything they have read. We have been using it most frequently in our Nonfiction unit, but it can easily be used with fiction reading as well.
