This resource is a NO-PREP LESSON designed to introduce the topic of fingerprinting for students in a forensic science course. This lesson introduces students to the following concepts: what makes fingerprints individual evidence, how fingerprints are made, and the THREE levels of detail that forensic scientists look for when analyzing fingerprints. Students get practice identifying the general pattern of a fingerprint (arch, loop, or whorl), labeling minutiae (bifurcations, hooks, islands, etc)
