The way one perceives herself/himself determines the social identity, social roles and membership of groups. It is worthy noting that the self perception one has influences the decisions she or he makes and consequently one’s behaviour in the presence of others.

Language, Thought and Culture : A synopsis
Do the languages we speak shape the way we think, act and believe? Or do they merely express thoughts? Does the structure of a language shape the very thoughts we wish to express? Scholarship Completion Checklist
Use this tool as a way to track the names and amount of scholarships students complete.
In my class, I require students to complete 30 applications/semester. They have to complete this checklist, then they have to show me the completed application and I then sign to verify it. I do not accept sweepstakes scholarships for a grade in the class. Once I enter the grade into the grade book, I check off the checklist and file it into a binder with a section for each student alphabetized.
