The learning goal is then broken up by bullets that contain short term goals for the students to attain in order to meet the long term goal. Leveled Spelling Activities
When I want to go more in-depth with improving spelling performance I have students take a pretest at the beginning of the week and then use the rubric to give themselves a level. From there they complete corresponding activities. They can always retest to change levels. The goal is getting them toward application (spelling the words correctly in their daily writing).
