End of Year Survey for Foreign Language Classrooms

This resource, specifically geared towards foreign language classrooms, provides teachers a 5 page survey to give to students at the end of the school year. The survey is provided in both a print format and a Google Form that can be posted to students via Google Classroom or e-mail. The survey questions are based on research on characteristics of the most effective teachers and classrooms.

This survey is an excellent tool for teachers to have to help them reflect and set professional goals. In many states, this tool can be entered into the teachers portfolio as evidence of the teachers desire for professional growth, data driven decision-making, and classroom management procedures.

The survey focuses on 4 different aspects of a student's experience in your class; the teacher, the class instruction, language proficiency, and future language study.

Information gleaned from this survey can be shared and discussed within your department to help make informed programming and teacher placement decisions as well.

The survey takes approximately 30 minutes for students to complete.
