Description
Fun activity for teaching the phonics floss rule! These fluency reading strips are the perfect activity for supplemental phonics instruction, partner work, literacy centers, morning work, early finishers, etc.! Students use the word strips to read each floss rule word. Simply insert the strip in the double consonant sheet and read each word as you pull the words through. Use the recording sheet to write and illustrate 4 words of the students choice!
HOW TO USE:
Teacher: Print on colored paper or you can use white paper (for best results use thick card stock paper). The strips are labeled with ff, ll, ss, or zz for easy matching. For example, the student would find the ll piece (with the girl or boy) and find an ll strip of paper to place through and read the words.
