Description

Looking for an engaging activity to introduce the Industrial Revolution? Want to practice the skills of primary source analysis as you study the Inductrial Revolution?

Allow students to examine the Industrial Revolution through the analysis of primary sources. Take students back into the mines and the mills and let them hear the stories from those who lived at that time.

Teaching suggestions are included, but my favorite implementation strategy is to create small groups where students can examine the documents and images together to discuss the sources and their significance.

Includes 2 pages of primary sources:

Analysis Questions utilize spiral questioning format.

Includes an optional assignment for students to create protest posters for the issues they find to be of most concern for the time period.
