What educators are saying
What a great way to learn/review what an eclipse is. I loved the different options to choose from and it was fun to make with my kiddos.
My students really enjoyed this resource. They were going take this home and explain to their family the solar eclipse.

Description
Introduce or review the stages of a solar eclipse in a hands-on way with this foldable sequencing activity. This fun cross between a science craft and a worksheet has options for annular (ring of fire) and total solar eclipses.
Completed foldouts can be inserted into an interactive science notebook for future reference.
There are differentiated templates so you can choose the options that best suit your students:
- Template 1: Color the sun and stages of an annular solar eclipse, match the pictures to the stage names, glue, cut out the template and fold. Letters indicate which is the Sun/Moon.
- Template 2: Color the sun and stages of an annular solar eclipse, arrange the stages in order, glue, cut out the template and fold.
- Template 3: Color the sun and stages of a total solar eclipse, match the pictures to the stage names, glue, cut out the template and fold. Letters indicate which is the Sun/Moon.
- Template 4: Color the sun and stages of a total solar eclipse, arrange the stages in order, glue, cut out the template and fold.
For templates 2 and 4, there is the option to sequence the stages with the names or with short descriptions.
Also included:
- Stage names cards (in color) for both eclipses.
- Versions for UK and US paper sizes are included.
- Folding guide
