TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 6th grade social studies at a middle school for 5 years! My content area is world cultures and world history. I absolutely love what I teach and enjoy making resources for the secondary classroom.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In my classroom, you can find a wide variety of learning activities. I love creating hands on activities, simulations, and challenging lessons that my learners will enjoy! I also create resources that allow learners to express their creativity and expand their knowledge and passion for history.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I currently work in the school district that I grew up in! It is so fun to see my education come full circle. I graduated from University of North Texas with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I worked in adoption before becoming a pre-school teacher. I then got my alternative certification to teach EC-6 but did my student teaching at a middle school which was a much better fit for me!

I am recently married and am enjoying life with my husband and pup! I love that teaching has given me a creative outlet. I enjoy doodling, creating designs on Canva, and learning new ways to utilize technology in the classroom.
