TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello! My name is Gina and I am a teacher who loves to explore this amazing world of education! I am well-versed on the most current research and practices in the field and love to collaborate with others. I have been working with English Language Learners for several years now, from elementary school to high school, and even adults! I am currently a Multilingual Learner Teacher (MLL) in an elementary school and high school in my local public school district! I absolutely love working with my students and creating high-quality and engaging resources for them.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching philosophy centers on kindness. When I am kind to my students and approach each situation with compassion, my students learn from my example and kindness is fostered in my classroom. I believe in second chances and finding the best in each and every child with whom I work. In terms of instruction, task-based learning and hands-on projects are what get me excited about teaching. I love finding different ways to address my students' needs. I like to incorporate multi-media into my lessons to prepare my students for this technological world, but also appreciate the beautiful things we can create with just a pencil and paper!
