The 2023-2024 academic school year will be my 15th year teaching Deaf Education; providing direct and itinerant DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) Services to students with Deafness and/or Hearing Impairments. MY TEACHING STYLE

You will find me to be well-spoken, energetic, confident, and personable, the type of person who works collaboratively with all educational parties to ensure the successes of all students within her educational environment. I also have a wide breadth of personal experiences with Deaf Education that aid in my individual understanding of audiological equipment, teaching practices, learning styles and learning preferences for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired, as well as for students with special needs; which allows me to establish deeper levels of respect with each of my students, their families and the staff that I serve. I am now dually certified to work with DHH and with students who have Visual Impairments (VI) that I obtained in 2018.

I am a hard of hearing adult who is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and Sign Exact English (SEE). I come to you with 15 years of experience as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing/Teacher of the Visually Impaired in both, the classroom setting and as an Itinerant Teacher. I’ve achieved a Bachelor’s Degree as an Intervention Specialist in the area of Deaf and Hard of Hearing, as well as a Master’s Degree in Special Education.
