My career with children started at a summer camp with children from inner-city Philadelphia. I eventually moved to Florida, completed my degree in Elementary Education, and have since been teaching inner city in Daytona Beach, Florida. I have taught Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade in the public school system, as well as nursery-K4 in the private school setting. I have also run a "Drop-Out Prevention" program for students from 9th-12th grade.
I believe in students knowing their boundaries, having structure, and most importantly having fun! I make sure that my students know what to expect each week, each day, each lesson. I believe in setting high standards because every student can achieve, but leveling those standards to each student's personal needs.

I attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida and later transferred home to Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, Florida where I received my Bachelor's of Education in Elementary Education. I was trained at Yale University. I learned how to implement the RULER Approach, which is an SEL strategy that has done wonders in my classroom, with my students, and with myself personally!
