TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Thank you for visiting my shop! My name is Kellie Smith and I am so excited to share my resources with your students. I have been in education since 2011 at both the High School and Middle School Levels. Since beginning my career, I have worked extensively with the departments within my schools to develop curricula for teachers. After creating lessons for years, they encouraged me to start sharing my lessons on Teachers Pay Teachers. I opened my shop in 2017 and the rest is history! I love the TPT community. I've met so many amazing educators through this platform. As you explore my shop, you will notice that there are a variety of content areas! My primary content areas are English, Social Studies, Science, and CATE.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My library is an active learning environment. It is not your traditional library! My students love exploring the space and participating in interactive lessons. I am very hands on, and I try to design my lessons the same way. The best way to learn is by moving and exploring!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelors degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management, a valid teaching certification in South Carolina, and a Masters in Library and Information Science. Needless to say, I have a variety of interests that led me to education.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am married to my best friend and we share a young daughter. They make my life so worthwhile! We live in South Carolina and love traveling all over the country. In my spare time, I love going to concerts, museums, and parks.
