I tend to give the basics the amount of time deserved, depending on a particular classroom situation. As my years of experience grew, so did my practice. I have become more of a constructivist, particularly in the areas of math and science. Overall, I respect my students as human beings with various needs, just as I expect them to respect me.
I am the recipient of three Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards as producer of instructional television. My first Emmy was for a professional development series titled Hollywood Homeroom: Producing Classroom Videos with Hollywood Magic. My second and third Emmys were for Math Park, an instructional series for students in grades 2-5.
