I teach 5th math and science in Ohio. I have taught 6th grade, have been a middle school dean, and an elementary school principal.
In math, I like to be sure that the fundamentals are in place and that I am always attaching meaning and number sense to their learning. I like to keep class fun and engaging! In my classroom, students know that mistakes and failed attempts are a normal part of the learning process and they thrive in that setting. In science, I want students to be engaged, actively involved, and constantly curious! It is my job to set that stage so that this happens.
