After graduating with a BS in Elementary Education in Michigan, I moved to Florida to work in public school starting with 4th grade. I taught one year each of 4th and 5th grades followed by three years of 1st grade and four years of kindergarten. I began teaching in 2006. 7 years of my experience has been in public school and I now teach in a private Christian school.
I make my classroom a fun place of learning. If the kids aren't having fun, they won't like to learn. The more fun movement they have, the more they will remember and the more they will enjoy learning. I use movement, hands on, paper/pencil and songs to reach every type of learner. My motto: If it's not fun for me, it's not fun for them!
Yet to be added
I have enjoyed school since day one. My dream was to be a teacher since second grade because I wanted to use a pointer like my teacher had. My reasons have evolved since then but I know teaching is one of the best choices I have made in my life. I earned my BS in Elementary Education with a Language Arts major in 2006.
I am a busy working mom of three with two bonus children. My goal is to create fun resources for busy families as well as classrooms to use to make their lives easier while having fun together.
