TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Mr. Rooster is currently teaching Elementary and Middle School Technology (K-8th) and Elementary and Middle School STEM (K-8th). He has also taught Middle School English, 1st Grade, and Kindergarten. In addition, he was the IT Support at a former school and also has several years of experience as a Yearbook Coordinator.

Mrs. Rooster has taught High School Biology, Advanced Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Math Skills, Personal Finance, and Online Learning Instruction. She has also homeschooled their own little chicks and loves graphic design. She also has a passion for creating cute elementary resources and fun page borders for teachers to enjoy!

As we teach, we create resources we need for our classroom and we enjoy sharing those with you. Together, we provide you with a variety of resources from lower elementary to middle school and high school, so please visit often for our updated materials! We have an abundance of resources to share with you and our passions are Middle School Technology, High School Science, and graphic design! Thanks for being here!

MY TEACHING STYLE

We love watching our students learn hands-on! Research shows students learn best through problem-solving, inquiry-based instruction. Therefore, we incorporate as many projects and hands-on learning experiences as possible in our classrooms. Since we have found a lack of resources available in several areas, we create them ourselves and love sharing them with you!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Mrs. Rooster was selected to be in the NSTA New Science Teacher Academy and has been an NSTA member for 3 years. She also was a student researcher while completing her undergraduate degree. She was part of a team researching the effectiveness of inquiry-based teaching on students.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Together, we have degrees in Elementary Education and Secondary Education, majors in English and Biology, and minors in Education, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Mr. Rooster is also certified in STEM and has experience as an IT coordinator.
