I have been teaching for 6 years at a Title-1 school in California Bay Area.I have my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from San Diego State University and Masters in Digital Technology in the Classroom from Azusa Pacific University. Throughout my teaching experience, I have sought opportunities to work with children of all different cultures and learning styles. During my holiday breaks, I have taught English over seas in Egypt, Mexico City, and the Philippines. In 2016, I took a leave of absence from teaching to combine my love for traveling and education by volunteering at various organizations all over Asia. After being off for nearly a year, I could not wait to bring my multicultural experiences back into the classroom.

I have learned that my dance and theatre background has been the universal language and has served as my favorite teaching style to connect with all diverse students by incorporating song, movement, and chants into rigorous curriculum. In addition, I understand the importance of the social emotional needs of each child and those who surround them. This has sparked my zeal for building and rejuvenating relationships with my students, their families, and the community.

I have has worked with my district to develop the Restorative Justice team and has been the Liaison for our Peacemaker Leadership program for the last three years. I am also a dance teacher for our afterschool enrichment program and a public educational presenter for the National conference organization, “Teach Your Heart Out.” My hands-on teaching approach has gained the media attention from various news platforms all over the country, including Good Morning America.
