TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Have taught for six years and have had multiple experiences and placements in private school and public school setting, Middle school and high school. Right now I am teaching 9th grade World History, and 11th grade Civics and Economics in Minnesota.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Not one class of mine is the same. I am all about differentiated instruction and engaging students. I believe students remember material better when they are having fun and engaged in class. I like to do a lot of hands on activities and encourage the students to also be responsible for their own learning. To be a good teacher you need to love what you teach and who you teach.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was the US History department leader at my previous school.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Went to Lipscomb University, the #1 school in the nation for education, and graduation with a BA in History teaching.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Grew up in Minnesota and moved to Tennessee for school. I have wanted to teach since I was in high school.
