Hi there! I am a high school history teacher in Los Angeles, California. I have taught U.S. History, Government/Econ, World History, Ethnic Studies, Ancient Civilizations, and Latinx Studies.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I prioritize centering diverse narratives and resistance movements at the core of my history curriculum. I like to go "beyond the mainstream" by teaching traditionally untaught histories of marginalized groups in order to empower students and highlight the lives of the oppressed. I always tell my students, "Throughout history, oppression has always been met with resistance."
