I have been teaching middle and high school for 8 years, and have taught a variety of subjects, including physical, earth and life sciences, biology, chemistry, STEM, urban gardening and aquaponics.
Students learn best when they are engaged in learning and feel that the knowledge relates to the world they are experiencing. I try to create informational presentations and activities that connect science concepts with their everyday life, to help them have an understanding that science is not just what happens in a lab, but is happening constantly, all around them!
