I have over fifteen years of experience as an elementary school teacher-librarian. I've worked in schools with as few as 250 students and as many as 625 students so organization and multitasking are two of my strengths. I'm also an instructional technology leader in my district, as well as an Instructional Practices Inventory leader.
My teaching style is focused on meeting the needs of diverse learners while connecting library learning to all other content areas. I believe that when I grow as a teacher, my students grow along with me!

I have a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature and a master's degree in School Library Media Studies from the University of Northern Iowa. I'm continually reading, learning, and taking professional development classes to improve as an educator!
I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 24 years! We have two beautiful daughters, one sweet floofy pupper, and one super bossy kitty. Diet Coke and the Target Dollar Spot are my love languages. In my free time, I love to read, bake, and spend time with my family.
