Upon graduating from IU, I was lucky enough to work in my dream school district of Washington Township in Indianapolis at an International Baccalaureate school. My first year, I taught 4th grade, and my second year, I taught 3rd grade. Both classes were filled with intelligent, sassy, creative, goofy, and inspiring students from all different backgrounds. Currently, I have made my (other) dream of teaching abroad a reality, and I am living and teaching in beautiful, sunny Spain. The fantastic capital city is now my home and I am teaching 2nd grade at an American school, as well as private English classes to kids, teens, and adults. Life teaching abroad is amazing and I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have if you're interested in doing the same!
I love to teach international mindedness to my students. I like to use hands-on approaches to teach students about the world and how to be global citizens. My lessons are typically student-centered and driven by inquiry. I love when my kiddos have the opportunity to ask why, how, what, who, when, where? These are my favorite teaching moments with them.
Working on this day by day! :D
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) with a license addition in English as a New Language (ENL) from Indiana University - Bloomington. Go Hoosiers!!
As I mentioned above, if you have any questions about teaching and living abroad, don't hesitate to message me! I love answering these types of questions and helping others live out their dreams as I have :)
