Hi my name is Whitney Gordon and this will be sixth year teaching in Orlando, FL. I have been teaching kindergarten for the last 4 years and my first year I taught Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in an ESE classroom. My school is a Title 1 school with low-income students

I am a strong believer in tactile learning and providing students with hands on materials to help them learn, grasp concepts, and grow. I love creating theme days with full classroom transformations to engage students in learning. Teaching the standards and content but in a more interactive, innovative, and fun way!! This years classroom transformations included Kindergarten Cardiology (operating room), March Madness Week, Beach Day, Glow Day, Escape Room, Grinch Day, St. Patrick's/Green Day, 26 Days of themes for end of the year ABC Countdown!

Received my Bachelors in Elementary Education at University of Central Florida! GO KNIGHTS!! Also, I received a minor in Exceptional Students Education. I have certifications in Elementary Education, PreKindergarten/Primary Education, Hearing Impaired. Also, I have endorsements in Reading and English for Speakers of Other Languages.

Outside of teaching I enjoy traveling, playing with my black Lab, being with friends and family, working out, and being outside mainly near water.
