Easy Onset Visual for Fluency Therapy
This visual is great for teaching the easy onset strategy in fluency therapy. My students really seem to like the "hill" graphic and they use their finger to follow along with my instructions.
Have them start at the very left side of the "hill." As they go up, have them take a deep breath in. Model this for them. Once at the top, instruct them to "let a little bit of the air out." Now, as they move down the "hill," tell them to "turn their voice on" and begin their phrase or sentence. F
