This is a scale I created to show students that sometimes big emotions and reactions are appropriate, but they need to match the size of the problem. I would use this scale to have them choose the "size of their problem", and then the "size of their reaction" to see if they match. If they didn't match, we would agree it was an over-reaction and plan on how to cope better next time.
