As students read through an article, they find 20 words (I told my kids with AT LEAST 5 letters) that they definitely know and can define. Then, they find 10 words that they kind of know. Lastly, they find 5 words that they absolutely do not know and cannot define. Students then draw inferences about their 5 "I Don't Know" words. Later, students created sensory image flash cards using their 5 words.
