I've been a classroom teacher for 19 years teaching grades K-5, including five combination classes at two different schools. Currently I am the K-5 Intervention Teacher where I work with struggling readers using the Orton-Gillingham Approach. In addition, I have been a teacher of teachers at the University level and love giving back to the profession.
I love to make learning come alive through real-life experiences, room transformations, student-engagement, multi-sensory approaches, and differentiation to meet student needs. Meeting students where they are and providing targeted intervention is key!

I've always dreamed of becoming a teacher. My time is now spent juggling teaching and creating with being a wife and mom to three boys. When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me on the soccer field, enjoying the outdoors and in the audience watching my kids perform.
