I am a high school science teacher with 30 years of experience. I have taught IPC, Chemistry, Biology, Honors Biology, ESL Biology and Marine/Aquatic Science. I was honored to receive Teacher of the Year in 2006, served as Department Chair for over 10 years, have been on numerous committees and mentored five student teachers as well as many first-year teachers. I love creating and using lessons that keep students engaged while learning and I enjoy sharing these lessons with others. My focus has always been helping students, all students, not just those in my classroom. My goal on TpT is to create and share lessons with other educators to make their jobs a little easier by providing no-prep and low-prep activities that will save them some valuable time. Those who teach know how much of ourselves we give to our jobs and students. I want teachers to be able to take some time back for self-care and family and still provide quality lessons for their students.
Definitely Hybrid. I use all types of activities including digital and hands on. All learning styles need to be addressed and student personalities considered when creating or looking for a lesson. I believe students should play an active role in their learning, it's more fun for them and aids in memory retention.
