End of the Year Math Geometry Project with Real World Math Using Transformations
This Transformation Geometry Project is a project based learning (PBL) lesson designed to get students engaged in a real world collaborative activity. Students get to be architects and apply the math they are learning!This activity is designed for a group project. It will take about 2-3 class periods to complete. You will need large tracing paper and graph paper for this activity. Students work as teams to design an apartment and then use transformations to create an entire floor of apartments.

Pac-Man Transformation Performance Assessment
In this task students will be demonstrating their knowledge on rigid transformations (Translation, reflection, rotation) across the coordinate plane. Students will create a pac-man game board and designated path to accumulate points. Students are given written instructions and a checklist. During a gallery walk students can attempt to discover other classmates pac-man path by reading through the listed transformations. This assignment is created as a summative assessment or fun review/practice.
TRANSFORMATIONS PORTFOLIO PROJECT
Transformations portfolio project - great to use at the conclusion of teaching the transformations unit. Project requires students to perform reflection, rotation, translation, and dilations. This is a fun and engaging transformations assessment where students get to utilize their creativity in drawing any image they want. They must then translate, reflect, and rotate their pre-image on their graphs. This activity is easy to differentiate by having students pick images with a different number of points, although I required my students to have at least 10 points labeled on their images.This project is completely editable.Included are instructions, a rubric, and student samples.

Transversal City Project
Students have so much fun designing their own city while practicing their angle relationships.
