Months of the Year Songs
I use these songs during calendar time in my classroom. I allow the children to create the hand motions, clapping, snapping, etc. to help them make it fun! We sing these daily. I have ex-students that tell me they still sing some of the songs to help them remember how to spell the months. All About That Base Word- A Spelling Parody for Syllable Juncture spellers
It's all about that base word! This song reviews that when you want to add a suffix (ed/ing) to a base word (run -> running) there are rules about what to do before adding it. Do I double the letter? Do I drop an E? Do I do nothing? This song teaches it all. It is a "parody" of course of Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" song, but the lyrics have been changed to teach spelling.
